William Janes m. Sarah Clark, dan. of James Clark of New Haven. Her mother was Deborah, who died 1705, dan. of John Pecoke, of Stratford. He died, November, 1726. She died, October, 1738.

Mrs. Clark's grave-stone is still seen in Stratford.

William Janes was married at thirty years of age, and probably his sister, who united with the Congregational church, 1697, kept his house till he married Sarah Clark.1

Outman, 30 Dec., 1725.
36 VI. DEBORAH, born 9 Sept., 1697; married Samuel Watkin
1707.
