On April 13, 1905, in the large sod house, home of J. W. and Sarah Hackelman, six miles south east of where Knowles, OK now stands, Blanche Ellen was married to Leroy L. Beardsley. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Harlen Parker, Friends Denomination, who had recently moved from Iowa to his homestead northwest of Knowles.
