The following information was from Elvira's youngest daughter, Jennifer
"Mom's maiden name was Adams and I have the information on her parents at
home. We know very little about them as they died when she was very young.
She, her brothers and one sister were separated at this time and sent to
different families. Mom was actually raised by the Brooks family. She and
dad met in a sugar cane patch and when he proposed to her, he asked her if
she would make tracks around his flour barrel. To this day she can still
make the best homemade biscuits I've ever tasted. About 13 years ago, she
got to see her brother Dewey (whom she thought had been killed at a young
age) for the first time since they had been separated at youth. Dewey
passed away about a year after they met. Mom has one sister living "Elnora
Adams Anderson" and she lives in Horn Lake, Mississippi."
