Albert enlisted with the Illinois Thirteenth Infantry, Company D on May 24, 1861.
He was promoted to 1st Lieutenant on August 10, 1861. He mustered out on June 22, 1864.
He married again after his divorce from Mary and went to Belleview, FL where he was still living in 1934.
