Elisha, son of Israel Beardsley, was born August 17, 1735, died in Monroe, April 6, 1824. He married Mebetabel. daushter of Ebenezer and Abigail Hurd. He was a farmer by occupation; a large landholder; a communicant in the Episcopal church, vestryman and clerk, 1768-1812, and warden from 1812 until his death.
